Join us for a picnic with folkjam, Friday June 26 at 6pm

We’ll continue our summer tradition of Picnics in the Park at Hoover Park: 2901 Cowper Street, Palo Alto.  Bring your own beverage and a little money to help cover the cost of pizza. It’s a great way to stay connected during the summer and enjoy our lovely summer surroundings.

Children are most welcome: there’s playgrounds AND, midway through the picnic, music …!  Our first “Folkjam” was delightful – so we’re doing it again, and this time combining it with the picnic. Bring an acoustic instrument if you like – we’ll have little drums and such for kids – or just sing or listen! We’ll provide lyrics for simple folk and kids songs (last time there was even a “Dance around” inspired by Woodie Guthrie), a few folding chairs and music stands. This time we expect ukuleles in addition to guitar, violin, mandolin.  All skill levels welcome: we’ll try to stay in keys like D and G with notation provided for those who’d find it helpful.  Guitarists might want to bring capos.
