RESTRICTED FUNDS

Restricted Funds involve monies given to the church for very specific purposes, often for capital expenditures or a special benevolence project. Most of these funds exist only temporarily and are generally self-explanatory. Restricted Funds generally fall into one of six types of funds -- worship, council/pastoral, music, committee, staff development, and property - as described below.

Worship Funds

There are three types of Restricted Funds that support different aspects of the sanctuary and worship: (1) Candle & Torch holder, (2) Hymnal, and (3) the Ohlsson Flower Fund.

Council/Pastoral Funds

There are four types of Restricted Funds that either support the Pastor or are disbursed at the discretion of the Pastor or the Council: (1) Pastor Transition, (2)Pastor's Discretionary Fund, (3) Luke Fund, and (4) PLTS Scholarship.

Music Funds

There are three types of Restricted Funds that support music: (1) First Kids Choir, (2) Piano/Organ, and (3) Music Ministry.

Committee Funds

There are several funds related to the activities (or under the auspices) of committees of the council: (1) Benevolence, (2) Fair Trade Sale, (3) Fellowship Events, (4) Heifer Fund, (5) Youth, (6) FLC Women, (7) Women's Retreat, (8) Rios Sister Parish Fund, (9) Men's Breakfast, (10) Library, and (10) Information Technology.

Staff Development Funds

There are three types of Restricted Funds that support staff development: (1) Pastor's Continuing Education, (2) Choir Director's Continuing Education, and (3) Organist's Continuing Education.

Property Funds

There are three types of Restricted Funds that are related to church properties: (1) Property Maintenance Fund, (2) Pastoral Housing Fund, and (3) Memorial Garden.
