The church year begins in December with the season of Advent, and our Centennial celebration begins with this festival, a nod to our Swedish origins but also a party that appeals to a wide variety of neighbors.

As related in Acts 2, Pentecost is sort of like the anniversary for the whole church. The Holy Spirit fell on people gathered for worship, giving them tongues to praise God in many languages and cultures. On this festival day, we’ll invite former members and staff to join us in worship and a party.

We’ll have a big birthday cake and special worship service. This will be an opportunity for former members and staff to join us, especially if the Pentecost date didn’t work.
This Centennial isn’t just an opportunity to celebrate the past – it’s also a chance to look forward to a new future. We are planning an outreach event for September of 2020.
