Young Adults

Gatherings for people in their twenties, thirties and forties – and a variety of ways young adults are involved.

Occasional gatherings, Friday evenings

What’s a young adult?  Maybe someone who’s graduated from college, who’s single or has a partner; maybe even kids (that doesn’t mean your young life is over!).  Recently, we started hosting gatherings with nice food, drink and conversation for people in their 20s, 30s and 40s (and your two pastors, in their early 50s with kids in college, but still thinking we’re still a little youthful?).  When it comes to figuring out church, faith and life, it’s good to find company with people at a similar place in life.

The image above is from our first young adult gathering. We have a pretty good sized group of folks in this age group for a small church. Young adults are engaged in a variety of ways at FLC, such as singing in the choir, reading scripture at worship, hosting a BBQ or birding event, managing social media, tech help, council leadership – and young adults started the happy hour book group. We like being together with people our own age. We also like being part of a multi generational community.
