Weddings

Information about weddings and marriage ministry at First Lutheran Church.

Thanks to Anna Wu Photography and to the bride and groom for providing these photos from a recent FLC wedding.

We at First Lutheran celebrate marriage as a gift for the flourishing and joy of all people, and we’re pleased when we get to support couples in their journeys.

We embrace people from all faith backgrounds. As you’ll read in our welcome statement, we value families in their diverse forms and we support marriage equality.

We have a beautiful facility for weddings, including the sanctuary itself and a fellowship hall that can be used for small receptions.

A Lutheran wedding service typically follows a traditional and ecumenical pattern, with scripture and prayers.  There’s room for flexibility and variety around the central importance of the promise of lifelong faithfulness in the exchange of vows.  We typically gather the day before the wedding for a rehearsal.

If you’re interested in getting married at FLC, click the gold button below to learn more about what we offer and to fill out the interest form.  We’ll invite you to visit the facility.  One of the pastors will be in conversation and help you prepare, together with a church wedding coordinator and musician.
