What’s going on at FLC?  And in what ways might God be calling us to be involved?

Those are questions we’ll get at in three separate meetings, hosted by Church Council after worship – around 11 to 11:45am – on September 29 (World), October 13 (Assembly) and October 27 (Daily Bread).  The Council is hoping each person can attend at least one of these gatherings … or all of them!

As you may have heard about in our congregational meeting, Council is proposing an organizational restructure from eight standing committees to three ministry areas that cover the gamut of FLC activities: World (reaching out to and serving the world), Assembly (the things we do as a community) and Daily Bread (resources like property and money). At each of these meetings we’ll talk about FLC’s activities in each of these areas and ways we can be involved.

Learn about these opportunities and talk about FLC ministry possibilities in these areas:

What is our calling as individuals or as a congregation?
It’s helpful to remember what is asked of us when we’re confirmed as youth or affirmed in our baptism as adults:

to continue in the covenant God made with you in holy baptism:
to live among God’s faithful people,
to hear the word of God and share in the Lord’s supper,
to proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed,
to serve all people, following the example of Jesus,
and to strive for justice and peace in all the earth
