FLC Outdoors
Here’s some information about trees around the church, provided by FLC member Holly, as part of an intergenerational outdoor event that included biblical reflections, a service project and tour of the property. Scroll down to learn more about outdoor opportunities.
God’s presence and generosity is known in the cold waters of a river, the taste of fresh bread and a sip of good wine.
Outdoor space is no less sacred than the church sanctuary. We love being outside together. Here’s some opportunities (and see the photos below from previous events):
Birding Field Trip to the Coast!
Mark your calendars for Saturday July 19 at 10am. We will enjoy God’s creation and practice some prayers and meditation as we go birding at Pescadero State Beach.
We plan to meet at 10am at Pescadero State Beach at the Cabrillo S Hwy stop along the coast. From there we will explore along the coast and the Sequoia Audubon Trail. Prepare for walking along the beach and down some sandy areas. We will travel about 1.5 miles total. Together we experience some awesome birds out on the water and in the marches along the beautiful coast.
Around 12:30pm we will break for lunch. Plan to caravan with us to the charming city of Pescadero to picnic and grab some warm artichoke bread.
LET US KNOW if you’d like to carpool or otherwise need help with transportation.
Camping Weekend
This Fall (2025) it’s set for October 3-5 at Memorial Park. We’ve reserved multiple sites from Friday through Sunday. You can come for the whole time or just part of it. Activities include shared meals, the opportunity to hike or sit and read, campfire songs and worship around picnic tables.
